From the supplier: Polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) has twice the dimensional stability of polyethylene terephthalate fibers and has enhanced chemical resistance. The rigidity of PEN results from the naphthylene ring, which also results in a higher glass transition temperature and higher modulus. Because of its properties, PEN fibers are a good candidate to be used for tire reinforcement.
